I stayed for 2 periods. the first one was - I think - in the old rooms which gave me a bad impresion about Movenpick. However, the second stay was in one of the new rooms which gave me the impresion i know about Movenpick (great). I suggest renovation of the old rooms....

To start, my wife left some 6 earrings and 6 necklaces in her carry on hand bag, which were stolen the fist day. I filed a police report but no follow-up by the hotel management. I got food poisoning the first night at a late dinner, which lasted the duration of one week. The overall assessment and recommendation is to stay away from this hotel. There are other Hotels that I have stayed with during the last 20 years on multiple visits to Egypt that are much more superior in quality of service and security than this one.

In general the hotel is good but very far from everything (the housekeeping every days was forgetting something or even to make the room). A problem with the transportation they haven’t anymore free shuttle, normally they got a shuttle for 12 dollars (but is a fake one, the scheduled is not respect and is belong the travel agency) so only a travel agency who are totally dishonest. Two guys manage the agency and if you need a taxi they try to sell you package (look like normal) but the information’s between the two guys (one work morning the other one afternoon) are all the time the opposite. The first time they tell me ok taxi 3-4 hours to go to pyramid (waiting us) and come back hotel 100 Us dollars, we cannot believe it and when they call the taxi and say go to ask him they play the game so the taxi answer us the same thing like is normal price. So we walk until the road (5 min by walk), valet, guard everybody try to stop us in order we choose the taxi from the agency or the hotel anyway we arrived on the street and we took a black and white taxi for only 12 dollars. Then nobody disturb us the others day we took every days taxi by ourself.
