Thrissur Pooram: one of Kerala’s cultural highlights is this major meeting of the arts in the town of Thrissur. Part religious and part artistic, morning fireworks kick off the event which includes traditional music, dance, elephant parades, and then more fireworks after the sun goes down. It’s an amazing time to be in Kerala.
