Prague has a highly efficient transport system which is also inexpensive. The network includes: the Metro, trams, buses, trains and a cable-operated railway on Petrín Hill. Public transport runs 24 hours, with night buses and trams running from 24:00 through until 05:00. The airport is the main arrival point for most visitors and is a very modern and well-equipped facility with good transport links into the city of Prague.

Business hours in Prague are usually between 08:00 and 18:00, Monday to Friday. Most businesses, with the exception of shops, are closed on Saturdays and Sundays. Department stores and hypermarkets are usually open until 20:00. Museums and churches are open every day apart from Mondays. Bars and pubs are usually open until midnight, although some are open throughout the night.
