Located just 16 kilometres from the centre of town, Paphos International Airport is a hub for charter flights arriving in the country. It is not the main airport on the island but it does see regular flights from the UK. The main carriers are British Airways, Cyprus Airways, Ajet, First Choice and FlyJet.
There are regular connections to the UK and Europe throughout the year, although these almost double during the peak summer months. Facilities at the airport are limited to a restaurant, café, bank, duty-free shopping outlets and a baby changing room.

Larnaca International Airport, the island’s main airport, offers a more distant alternative should you not be able to find a flight to Paphos.
Transport from Paphos International Airport and the farther away Larnaca International Airport to Paphos includes private taxis and cheaper shared taxis.

Paphos boasts a reliable and efficient public bus network which is boosted by a number of different taxi services. However, the city is not very big and many of the major attractions are within walking distance of each other. Transport is only really required if you are heading out of town for the day.
Local buses offer services between all popular destinations inside and outside of the town centre. Fares are low and there are day passes available for those who will be using the service extensively. The main bus station is located in the Ktima district.

For those who do not want to walk everywhere and would rather travel in comfort, taxis are the best option. Always make sure you get in a licensed cab and always negotiate the price before you get in otherwise you could face being ripped off.
There is also the option of a shared cab, which will cut down on the cost as long as you are going in the same direction as the person you are sharing with. These shared taxis operate a shuttle-type service perfect for short trips.
It is also possible to hire a car to discover the surrounding countryside and to explore the quaint villages outside of Paphos. The roads are generally good and traffic is not a problem, making this a popular option.
