Rated #6 for all Limassol hotels
The "Sea View" was actually NOT a sea view. Rather a "partial side sea view" with a tiny balcony. Fortunately, although the hotel was almost full since it was Christmas / New Year, we were able to obtain a full sea view / marina view but we had to pay a considerable supplement. I suggest that it is made more clear in the booking details what a "Marina View" actually means. It means that you get a full front sea view, which happens to include the marina. Apart from that, and the very confusing light switches beside the bed (I could hear the people next door also punching all the buttons se...

The executive room we were given was on the lower level and we had a view of the wall of the parking area. We were very disappointed as we booked this room according to its specification, as an executive room should be better that a standard room. The food was not good and the service was poor since they were short staff. The hotel needs renovation to meet its five stars marking.

Apart from that, and the very confusing light switches beside the bed (I could hear the people next door also punching all the buttons several times until they managed to switch off the right one!), everything was very nice. The hotel was decorated very well for Christmas and altogether had a great festive atmosphere. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. I would give the buffet in the evenings a miss. Overpriced. But the breakfasts were excellent, especially with champagne included! The Sailors Rest restaurant (also part of the hotel) on the marina was great and you get a 10% discount as a hotel guest. The weather was wonderful so we were able to sit outside. There were many Cypriots there. It's always a good sign to see locals frequenting an establishment. Overall, it was a very enjoyable break and I would definitely stay at the St Raphael again, especially since it is away from all the hustle and bustle of Limassol itself. We hired a car so it was easy to get around.
