Visitors will find an abundance of attractions suited to all ages and interests. Children will not be short of entertainment and there are ample opportunities for family days out. Festivals take place throughout the year and if you are lucky enough to experience one, you will get a taste of the island’s unique culture.
Aphrodite Water Park
This famous water park in Paphos attracts in excess of 100,000 visitors every year and is growing in popularity. Many attractions and facilities can be found here including numerous water slides, swimming pools, eateries, sun beds and changing facilities with lockers. It is the perfect place for kids to release some energy and whether you are young, old, can swim or not, there will be something to entertain you. A visit here is an ideal way to cool down during one of the island’s very hot summer days.
Presentation of Jesus to the Temple Fair: the Chrysorrogiatissa Monastery near Paphos hosts a traditional fair every February to celebrate the day when Jesus was presented to the temple after his birth. The fair is host to much entertainment, local craft displays and delicious food.
Amathus
Historically, this was one of the most ancient royal cities of Cyprus. Now in ruins and partly covered by the sea, evidence suggests that human activity was present in the city from as early as 1100 BC. You can see remains of the Acropolis, the historic temple of Aphrodite and the Necropolis. Visitors have the chance to explore the area and see rare archaeological treasures.
Southern Cyprus is served by two international airports: Larnaca Airport and Paphos Airport. Cyprus Airways is the national carrier. Northern Cyprus can be reached from Turkey only and is served by Ercan International Airport. KKTC, Onar Air and Turkish Airways are the national carriers for northern Cyprus.
Banks at Larnaca and Paphos international airports provide exchange bureaux services on a 24-hour basis. Similar facilities are also available at Lemesos harbour. Hotels, large shops and restaurants normally accept credit cards and traveller's cheques although banknotes of major foreign currencies are occasionally accepted. Rates of exchange are published daily in the local press. There are many ATM machines outside most banks in all towns and resorts.

This month's lucky winner is Mr. Laith Addabbas who lives in Jordan.
