Trinidad Overview

This 500 year old well preserved sugar trade city, is a museum in itself. Nominated as the best preserved city in the Caribbean. With Colonial Spanish architecture through and through and lovely cobblestone streets, pastel-coloured houses with elaborate wrought iron gates is like stepping back in time. One very laid back town, where time just drifts by. The town itself is located between El Escambray mountains and only 5 km to the coast. Playa Ancon, the main Trinidad beach, is justly recognised as one of Cuba's best beaches. One of the area's most interesting sights is the Valley of the Sugar Mills, which has been declared a World Heritage Site. A choice of hotels offer from the basic needs to the more luxury type. Enjoy the local cuisine and entertainment throughout the day and on into the early mornings at the local bars. A true taste of most peoples dreams.
