A small, unassuming city by Chinese standards—it is home two some two million people—Yiwu, in central Zhejiang province near the central-eastern China, is easily overlooked. Yet, rather anticlimactically, the town is best known for its modest commodity trade and free markets. The town was founded in the Qin dynasty, about 222 BC. As is with most locations in Zhejiangm, there are scenic mountains worth admiring.
