My wife and I stayed at this hotel in may 2007.and found the hotel in the best possible position in Xian , easy to get transport or walking distance to most attractions ,City wall, Bell and Drum towers.Muslim area with great atmosphere. Our deluxe room was very spacius, with separate sitting area and writing desk. Our room looked rigth over to the Bell Tower, spectacular at night with all the lights. We will definite stay here again. Also the hotel staff was very helpful...

You can not ask for better location. The Bell Tower, the Drum Tower, The great mosque are all walking distance from the hotel. Good chinese restaurants nearby. Hotel staff was excellent. We arrived in need of medical attention and they went out of their way to bring a Doctor to our room at 9:00 pm and helped with translation.

The hotel is in a very convenient location and it was reasonably quiet from traffic point of view. We found the room clean but somewhat small. In general we were very satisfied with our stay and would recommend this hotel to other people.

Top location, huge room, excellent amenities, universal touchpad control, Nescafé provided in room. Hotel has local CITS office, which provides great tours. Free broadband but am not aware of cable being provided, so bringing your own is advisable. Bathroom nicely designed and has a tub to soak in, though a bit dark in tub/shower area with the curtains pulled. Everything you would expect of a 4-star hotel.

Near one of the busiest round-abouts in Xi'an. Chinese use their horns alot while driving so if you need peace and quiet make sure you have a room that is not facing the Bell Tower.

I found the level of service to be very high and quite professional. The room was small but well appointed. There were some thoughtful extras included that were most appreciated. As others have said the carpets are of a condition well below those of a 4 star hotel. That really was the only negative I experienced. I would book the Bell Tower hotel again - the location, facilities and value for money are compelling.

staff is friendly and helpful as expected. The small bathroom looked new.Furniture and carpets well worn-I am refering to the standard room with window to the back side. However the room was equipped with connection for laptop, with a safe deposit box and the TY has HBO and CNN channels. In the hotel are two travelagencies. The China International Travel Service and the Golden Bridge Travel.Unfortunately they only have 3 cultural stops each and of course at least 3 commercial stops where tourists have to look at silk products furnitures paintings etc.I went with the Golden Bridge tour because they showed the neolithic villge which is a must see.The tour price is 300 RMB.If you want also to visit the Big Goose Pagoda-recommended - than you can take a taxi from the hotel for approximately 15 RMB.From the airport to the hotel you do not have to take an expensive taxi .Airport bus No.1 stops about 15o meters before the hotel. If you get out of the bus go to your left. The price is only 25RMB per person.

An excellent and very well located hotel, right in the historic city centre with views over the Bell Tower, and very good value for money. It seems that it has been recently refurbished. The rooms are in a very good condition. The only problem we had was with the water supply in the bathroom: it seems that there was no cold water - apparently the plumber during the refurbishment forgot this little detail. Breakfast was very average. Otherwise, the hotel is highly recommended.

The beds throughout China are extremely hard and this hotel is no exception but you cannot beat the location and get a room overlooking the Bell Tower, even it it is a Smoking Room and you don't smoke. It's worth it.

Sole reservation -- room lighting was too dim for me to be able to work as I badly needed to do. Staff extremely helpful. The area could hardly be more central. Food was a problem, partly because we arrived so late (nothing but McDonalds and KFC and other varieties of sawdust available). Food anyway is a bit of a problem. Hook round the corner left from main entrance of hotel and over the road is a big jiaozi (filled dumpling) place. Upstairs is the fancy, expensive stuff. Downstairs is perfectly aqdequate. A little further along on the same side you can find a street with Muslim cuisine. We didn't try the hotel food which was buffet style and of course not cheap. But the location of the hotel, staff service and quality of room were as good or better then anything we used that trip.

We stayed here for one night and had a great time. The hotel is a 15 minute walk to the Belltower and one of the shopping areas of the city. Only a few minutes by taxi. The rooms are very quiet, since...
