Good satisfactory hotel. At first I was annoyed by the automobile horns honking that you can hear from the 11th floor room where I stayed. But upon staying at other locations in Shanghai, I now know that everywhere has automobile horns honking where you can hear it. That having been said, the Shanghai hotel was a good satisfactory hotel for the $75 a night that was paid in April 2009.

The hotel charges 130 CNY for using the sauna - this is incredible, every good hotel having a sauna offers it free of charge.The service was ok. Generally, costs for additional services were way to high. We paid 28 CNY for two mini cup cakes via room service which is probably more than in many good European hotels although China is generally much cheaper. The price for equal cup cakes in Shanghai's bakery would probably have been around 3 CNY.
