Peace Hotel Shanghai gives one a feeling of being at home while away from home. The Peace Hotel also has a variety of facilities and services that are sure to meet the needs of both business and leisure travellers and is known as the most famous hotel in China. The hotel also features the 'Old Jazz Band', a group of Jazz veterans who play in the hotel's English-style bar nightly.

The Peace hotel is the most fantastic hotel in the Bund area of Shanghai. The hotel has a marvelous Chinese restaurant which overlooks the new development area of Pu Dong which is very colourful at night. The hotel also has a brilliant roof top bar overlooking the river to the new development business centre. I recommend this hotel to anyone who wishes to have a sence of history. This famous hotel smells of history (but in a good way!). I hope to go back soon to Shanghai and I will definately stay at the Peace Hotel. ...

Our room was the cheapest one availble at the Peace Hotel, but we expected it to be a little more in line with the reputation of the Hotel. We requested a double bed and were given two singles and in our opinion the room was dissappointing with not much ambiance of years gone by. The location and service was excellent. As a comparison we stayed the Astor House on a previous visit to Shanghai, not quite as good in location but room had far more character and was much cheaper in price. I wouldn't bother with the Peace Hotel again.

Absolutely fantastic location, room was spacious and clean, and most of the time the staff were friendly. I would definitely stay there again, I was totally impressed.

The gap of glass door of bathing shower room in toilet is too high. It makes a lot of bathing water leak out to dry floor all the the time and make the toilet floor wet. It should be has some seal for the gap. All the other it's OK.

We had a plumbing issue in the room's bathroom in the middle of the first night, which one would not expect in a first-class hotel. The staff did fix it quickly. This is a good hotel for those interested in art deco architecture and history. The concierge was first rate; in other respects the service good but nothing special.

Central location, helpful staff, and enjoyable dinner time (acrobatic) show in the restaurant. Things to improve: shower design problems - water does not drain properly and overflows from dripping shower door. slow internet connection by phone dial-up.
