Absolutely the worst experience in a hotel I have ever had. Staff came into the room uninvited on many occasions and would not leave. They say something in Chinese and when I didn't understand they would say it repeatedly as somehow I would start understanding Chenese. The front desk was not helpful. Even those that spoke English would not even listen. Not helpful and even rude when trying to get Railway tickets. The girl in the business office did not even give me my change from the tickets. I have stayed in many place in different parts of China and the world but have never met a group of people less suited for the hotel service business.

The location was pretty good, although there was a rough district on one end we had to avoid. The rooms were large, but there was a musty smell and rather outdated furnishing. Front desk staff were very rude. I asked about breakfast because it was included in our room and the front desk told us to fill out the breakfast order card (which we had to pay for). they didn't tell us the free coupons for the breakfast were in our room card and that we go to the nineth floor. I would have to say the best thing about the place was the breakfast buffet and the service from the food staff at the buffet.

Very convenient location, just behind a wholesale centre & market & only a 15 minutes walk to the Bund & Nanjing Road. Serves excellent meals at the restaurant that 's value for money.

This hotel was in a great location. I could walk to all sorts of places. I did not know where to go for places in Shanghai, but I found them. Great Kareoke bar just down the street for starters. Nice to come back to hotel for air conditioned room. I liked the room service, but make sure you ask for your eggs without soy sauce, it is Chinese culture.
