The hotel was good and close to shopping. Plenty of great activities not far from the hotel. A short walk or taxi ride for some further away. The People's Square is a short 10 minute walk with plenty to do around there. For the price it was a very good value and the rooms above the smoking levels were nicer. Service was ok but for the price I wouldn't expect more....

The plus of this hotel is its location - within walking distance of the Bund and most other sights. Subway station is five min. away. Built along a major thoroughfare, it is a bit noisy. Rooms and service are simple, what you would expect from a hotel that is neither budget nor four stars. Suitable for travelers with not too high standards and business travelers having to do in the Bund area. A drawback is slow Internet connection in the rooms.

The hotel itself was quite nice but they only had two elevators. We ended up waiting a long time for the elevator at times. The doormen were friendly and professional. The front desk staff were OK but didn't always speak English. The hotel is located to many tourist attractions and shopping district which is great. Overall, the experience was OK. The breakfast buffet was OK. The hotel never had enough to exchange for hotel guests. So, it is better to change more money whenever you can whether at the airport, bank, etc.
