Great hotel! Recommend highly. Front desk staff is not good with English and not very friendly, but Concierge and bellmen make up for this shortcoming. They are fluent enough to provide necessary assistance. ALWAYS ask the Concierge to write where you are going in Chinese on a hotel card and none of taxi drivers speak English - it will get you to and back from your destination with ease. Also, be sure to schedule a foot massage every evening. They are reasonable priced and such a delight after a long day. Enjoy!...

This hotel is very nice 4-star, but certainly not a 5-star hotel. In terms of my expectation, it was good enough and I am willing to go back. I didn't like the concierge - although people were friendly, it was just a bellboy's desk where I had to stand and talk. Specifically, I wanted info on local restaurant, and it was frustrating to hear all those big name places when that was not what I sought. BUT! again, people were very friendly.
I had to meet with my business partner the night before I left in the lobby bar because we were too tired to go out after previous schedule. I was a little disappointed with its hours, but well, it's already set by the hotel. However, I highly strongly recommend the hotel to change the lobby bar's ambience and interior (floor, chair, table...). It was that of 3-star or lower hotel's.
The towels were clean, my room was very efficiently organized, I liked the jacket hanger next to the TV set and nice size TV. Elevators were efficiently run - I appreciated that after the usual painful wait-wait-wait in another 4-star hotel in Shanghai.
The bed sheets were clean, but the pillows were so-so. It would be great if you can prepare different kinds of pillows - one hard and one soft, maybe?
Hope this hotel grows toward better direction!

Comfortable hotel with an excellent location, walking distance from The Bund and Nanjing Road. The room was comfortable, not luxurious but good enough to feel ok. It included a very convenient desk for the laptop or to work. The hotel's spa is great. I would definitely consider coming back to this hotel again

i had great expectations from this hotel, but sadly this hotel had nothing to offer except its location.The bathroom had broken tiles and the carpet in the room had this funny smell. Breakfast was very ordinary - nothing continental about it. Overall - not satisfied with the hotel.
