The Hotel rooms and hallways are long overdue for refurbishment. The walls and furniture are showing signs of years of wear and tear. However they were kept clean. The breakfast buffet was good but not outstanding. The location is a little out of town but not excessively so. We always walked to/from town(to the big Square) and took us no more than 15 to 20mins -an easy stroll. The hotel is located in pleasant surroundings on the banks of one of the many lakes in Guilin which are lit up at night with muti-coloured lights. In summary the hotel was reasonable value for money but if you like a bit more 'spit and polish' you might like to pay a little more for another venue. Nita Handa, United Kingdom
4-star hotels in China are below 4-star standards generally. Location here was good, room quite small, breakfast average. Drab decor. Steven Muller, United States
The Hotel Management and staff were very professional and a delight to be associated with.
I was especialy pleasesd with the room service personal whom were very timely and courtious in there services during my stay. I will use this hotel again in any future visits to Guilin, China.
Sincerely,

Excellent cul de sac location in Guilin, just in back of the river and against a hillside. Convenient to everything, but location makes the hotel area quiet and relaxed. Excellent service and the room, was great. Even though there were renovations going on in the lobby, the hotel went out of their way to ensure no inconvenience to the guests. Highly reccomended.
