We travelled to Guangzhou by train from Hong Kong and picked this hotel because it was near to the East Guangzhou railway station where the HK train terminates. The hotel is within walking distance from the train station and was easy to find.(There was a desk at the station for a shuttle bus to the hotel, but the desk was unmanned when we arrived). It felt very safe walking around the area at 6.30 p.m. - plenty of people about, well lit, and policemen around. The hotel was very good. We travelled to Guangzhou by train from Hong Kong and picked this hotel because it was near to the East Guangzhou railway station where the HK train terminates. The hotel is within walking distance from the train station and was easy to find.(There was a desk at the station for a shuttle bus to the hotel, but the desk was unmanned when we arrived). It felt very safe walking around the area at 6.30 p.m. - plenty of people about, well lit, and policemen around. The hotel was very good. It is set back from the road, and we were given a quiet room at the back. Checking in and out was easy as the staff spoke very good English. The western restaurant was good, if a little pricey because of the added 10% service charge.The hotel is near to the CITIC shopping plaza, and to an underground
station, so getting around Guangzhou was easy. We were very happy with this hotel, and would recommend it.
