The sub-provincial city Changchun, the capital and largest city of Jilin province in northeastern China, is all of 200 years old—very young by the country’s standards. Known as the Forest City, woods and people mingle here. Indeed, nearly 40 per cent of the city consists of lush greenery. Changchun is also the capital of the country’s automobile and films industries.
