My first visit to Beijing and it was SUPER. The hotel staff were efficient, helpful and obliging. Hotel was well situated for my activities, service prompt and efficient. Exceptionally clean. Rooms were big, airy and well provided. I will certainly re-visit when in Beijing again....

This hotel should be rated as a 3 star - not a 4! It was okay, but for the money, I expected it to be a little more luxurious than it is.

Small rooms, small television with very few channels. The bathroom plumbing was very noisy whenever a tap or the shower was running or the toilet flushed. We wouldn't really rate this hotel as 4 star, but value for money wise it was very good. Rooms were small but clean, and the staff helpful. The business center was ok although expensive for a slow internet connection. A 30 minute taxi ride from the forbidden City and Tiananmen Square, although a reasonable location for the Lufthansa Center and the Silk Market. Anyone looking for a budget hotel in Beijing should consider the Yu Yuan Hotel.

The staff were willing, but the hotel infrastructure is seedy, and needs lots of modernisation. The business centre was VERY expensive to use, considering there was only one PC which gave access to the internet. The internet service to my room was just a joke. It would drop "off-line" with monotonous regularity. The manager and the "in-house' computer technician could not rectify this annoying fault. I had to argue the point regarding my final billing, in reference to the non-use of the internet from my room,...but ended up paying 50% of the billed amount. I was not impressed with that side of it.
