As someone who makes several business trips to Beijing every year, usually staying in International brand hotels, I decided this time to stay in this newly renovated locally owned hotel, a minute from my office, as those I usually stay in had increased their tariffs to Olympian levels and were mostly booked out. This Sunworld hotel is both conveniently located - one minute from Wangfujing and within easy walk of the Forbidden City. The location is adequate to walk to some main points as Forbitten City, Tienanman Square, etc. Restaurants are also nearby, very convenient within walking distance. Room is cleaned every day. Concierge is especially friendly and provides detail information and direction to different tourist points. I also recommended this hotel to my other friends who also come with our tour and want to stay longer afterwards.

This Sunworld hotel is both conveniently located - one minute from Wangfujing and within easy walk of the Forbidden City. The local area is also interesting with Hutongs and many great local restaurants.The hotel rooms are a reasonable size, clean and with good housekeeping. The hotel amenities are excellent, more 4 star then 3 - a good Chinese restaurant with the unlikely name of California Shabu Shabu - don't be put off. Staff are all courteous and keen to go that extra distance to make your stay a memorable one. English is spoken by most ones guests will interact with.Very much recommended for both business and holiday travelers. One of the best values you will find in Beijing. A true 4 star experience for a 3 star price.

Reception staff untrained and positively rude too busy with their own converstion. Bar way overpriced for its standard. Location is good and rooms are good. Concierge service was good. For the price the breakfast leaves much to be desired.

Superb value & location, with all main sights on your doorstep, including the superb nightmarkets around the corner. Excellent breakfast buffet worth the extra, just avoid the hotel cafe - ridiculously overpriced. Taxis everywhere, but at least 20 mins. walk to the nearest metro stop

In this hotel, there are fine rooms, but first it seems you get a bad room (during the time we stayed there, it happens to us and to three people more). So we had to change, as we asked for a non-smoking room, but we got a dark bad-smelling room. Later they changed the room, but we needed to discuss a lot.
Then they told us, we only booked til 20th, but on the voucher was written the 21th of april. Therefore they closed the door and we could not enter on 20th in the evening. We lost a lot of time for the need of discussing this. The service at the reception is not very competent and not as friendy as they should be. That's a pity because the staff during breakfast was very kindly.

This hotel is situated right in the center of the main Beijing shopping area and provides all the requirements for a shopping trip. There is no hotel swimming pool but this did not matter for us. Floor eleven is the non smoking floor which they monitor well. Staff spoke english well.
The hotel is used by the most of the main coach tour groups.
