"AC had some problems, the room never got cool. This is definitely a big problem (I can imagine) in the summer. Most taxi drivers did not know where the hotel was, it's tucked behind another hotel. But the rooms are great, we got a free upgrade to a suite on the 13th floor upon check-in. Breakfast is good, and service is very friendly. I would recommend the Park Plaza, but the AC really needs to be fixed in many of the rooms."

"Our stay at the Park Plaza was short but excellent. It is very close to Tianenman Square and the Forbidden City. The room and bathroom were small but well-appointed and designed very nicely. The hotel staff were friendly and very helpful. Be sure to have the name and address of the hotel in Chinese if you are going by taxi as the hotel is tucked away behind another hotel and hard to find if the driver is not familiar with it. I would definitely stay there again.
The room was very nicely appointed however it was smaller than others I have been in in China. All of the hotel staff were extremely friendly, helpful and concerned. It was raining when we were there and they were very concerned that we take umbrellas with us when we went out. Close to Tianenman Square, the Forbidden City, restaurants, shopping etc.
We only had the breakfast buffet at the hotel and it was very good- a nice selection of Western and Chinese food. Taxis were always available.
The concierge was very friendly and helped us select a restaurant. The only thing not great was that he told us the restaurant didn't take reservations but they did and it was very crowded. The hotel lobby was fairly small but very nice.
