The Hotel is very new, this is what we liked about it. More fantastically, all levels are non-smoking, so you don't get the smell of stale cigarette lingering in the upholstery. One night, we smell cigar along the corridor and alarm the reception and they immed. send someone up to check. Quite impressive! Overall, we had an enjoyable and peaceful stay. Hotel breakfast was very good, compared to many Chinese-run 3-4 star hotels. The Hakka restaurant opp the hotel serves great food too, price is the medium range. I wonder if they provide King beds as it was quite squeezy for My husband, my seven yr old son and I on a Queen. I asked for extra bed but due to space they can't add one in my room, so be adviced to add an extra bed if you intend to sleep 3 during booking. --Kelly, singapore
Nice LCD TV at room, very clean, and cute space saving toilet sliding doors. Beds are very comfortable and bedsheets changed every day. Nice cafeteria, provides 2 internet terminals in the small business room, but no gym and pool. staff quite prompt in attending to customers, one staff Denny even went into the rain to help us get a taxi to the airport. In this city, you don't expect to see taxis plying the road during rainy days. My kids are easily pleased by the cereals, hams, cheese, french toast they provide in the cafeteria. Walking distance to train station, Forbidden City, and WangFuJing shooping street. Do be mindful of one-way roads at the nearby Tiananmen Sq so walking is better choice than taxi. take 15 mins to walk there if you have children and old folks. Taxis are not allowed to stop at Tiananmen. There is often a taxi or two that waits near the lobby, do check they go by the meter before boarding. there is a bus stop infront of the hotel cafeteria, but only 1 service-60, which comes every min or so. Take it till the end and you will come the Beijing Amusement Park. Cost RMB 1 per person only. I won't advice you to explore the buses if you are non Chinese-speaking though, as most drivers can't speak English and there are no English road names to guide you. Neil Kirkwood, Australia
This hotel is in an excellent location and, as the name suggests, is very close to the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square etc. Also near to Beijing's excellent Metro system. The room was clean and of a reasonable size and breakfast in their cafe was excellent. Good value for money and I would stay there again. Disentuwahandi Tilakasiri De Silva, United Kingdom
