The staff were very helpful for arranging transport to popular destinations and took great care to write out destinations in Chinese and gave good instructions to drivers. The doormen such as Jason were fantastic. Breakfast was very good and very filling and the Italian restaurant on the top floor was very good with a superb view, shouldn't be missed. This hotel is in a very quiet location but also convenient to the subway. Nice tree-lined boulevards surround the hotel. I would stay at this hotel again....

Staff was OK, but one girl at the restaurant was really rude. She didn't know how to use the visa machine and asked us, with the word "Change!", for another card. After the coming of the boss and the third Visa card, we could pay the amount. By the way, the restaurant was really expensive, but we have no other choice because of the late hour and the heavy rain.

Hotel is undergoing renovations - some facilities were closed. Tours were easy to book throught the hotel although they are a little pricey (you have to pay for some security since you can get ripped off easily). Walking distance to Tienamen Square, Forbidden City and subway stop. Take meter taxi to hotel from airport - it is half the price as the hotel service.

We enjoyed the hotel and its location. The only disappointing feature was the pool area. In particular the cleanliness and atmosphere. The air and water temperature was cold. Our kids visited it once and did not want to return.

I stayed in this Hotel 2 times this year. The first stay was in March, and the second was in July. I was happy and enjoyed in both my stays. The Hotel is located in City Center, only by 5 to 10 minutes walking distance to the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, Shopping and Food Area, e.t.c. I never used Taxi for my daily City Tours. Also with using Taxi, just a short way, it was easy to reach many other famous historical places and shopping Malls. So the best part of this Hotel is the location. And also it's the best possible Hotel that is so close to the City Center and have nice Rooms.

This hotel was really central to some great tourist spots and the standard of the hotel was beyond our expectations. The rooms were large, clean and the bathroom was very nice. All of the staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast buffet was good. Lunch at the restaurants was a bit expensive and not that great. We used taxis and they were cheap and always lined up outside.

This is my second stay at the Capital Hotel Beijing and I will once again stay there next time I'am visting Beijing. The staff are very kind and helpfull which is very important in my opinion - they take time to help with almost everything. The rooms look a bit old, but there are plenty of space to move around and the bathrooms are just so nice. I would highly recommend this hotel for budget travellers that still want's the feeling of staying at a luxurios hotel. It's a really nice hotel, lot's of restaurants to choose from and don't forget to enjoy a traditional chinese massage.

A comfortable hotel, very well located near the centre of Beijing. The restaurants were fairly good, though rather on the expensive side.

We enjoyed staying at the Capital Hotel in Beijing. The staff was friendly, and there was a good variety of choses of restaurants within the hotel. We particularly enjoyed the Italian Restaurant which over looked the city and Tianmen Square. We would definitely visit the Capital Hotel on our next visit to Beijing.
