An excellent choice of hotel, very clean with very considerate and helpful staff. Food was very good and reasonably priced too. I have already booked to come back!...

We only stayed for one night before heading to a cruise out of Valpariso, but we found the hotel to be very decent for the cost. Although it has a kitchen, there were no utensils, plates, etc. I suppose you could request these if you wanted them. Room furnishings were a bit tired, but all was clean. The area is one of the nicer parts of Santiago. and is only a couple of blocks from the very clean efficient subway. There seems to be a lot of pickpockets, etc. in the busy downtown areas. We talked to several tourists that had encountered problems (stolen necklaces, etc.). We actually had my wife's bag slashed by a razor, not once but twice (they did not get the contents), and we are usually very safety aware. So be careful, but don't let it stop you from visiting.
