
Niagara Icewine Festival: for 10 days, citizens of Niagara Falls celebrate this unique regional wine in an event that sees tastings at wineries across the region.

Spring Festival at the Falls: as the weather begins to improve and the days get longer, residents of Niagara Falls acknowledge the arrival of the spring season with carnival style celebrations that include the popular Maid of the Mist Parade plus live music, fireworks displays, live music and sporting events.

Art in the Garden: beginning in May and running through till late June, this event sees the work of artists from Niagara Falls on display at the Niagara Parks Botanical Gardens on the Niagara Parkway.

Canada Day: on the first of the month, Canadians commemorate their country’s 1867 Confederation with a public holiday for all. Many shops and services in Niagara Falls are closed or reduce their availability.

Friendship Festival: from the first to the fourth of July, citizens of Niagara Falls (and nationwide) enjoy a celebration that acknowledges the shared culture, history and friendship between Canada and the USA. Celebrations include cultural and heritage displays, live music, entertainment for kids, food vendors and firework displays.

Niagara Grape and Wine Festival: in the middle of the month, the Niagara region celebrates the annual grape harvest with a ten-day festival that features more than 100 events. Award winning wines are brought forward for tasting, local cuisine is on offer and live music provides the score for the event.

Halloween: kids don costumes and go door to door in search of candy and treats while adults get similarly dressed for evening revelry at private parties and public venues in the city.

The Niagara Falls Winter Festival of Lights: held annually and running for the entire duration of the Christmas holiday season, this festival sees a 5km stretch along the Niagara Parkway transformed by a beautiful illuminative display that uses some two million lights and features up to 100 different arrangements.

Christmas: With the Winter Festival of Lights running to and beyond the 25th and a variety of other traditional seasonal events held across the city, the Christmas season in Niagara Falls is a brightly coloured, merry and typically festive affair.
