Edmonton International Airport, to the south of Edmonton city, is the city’s gateway, receiving flights from all over Canada and many US cities with the likes of Air Canada, Canadian North, Northwest Airlines and United Airlines. Edmonton also has the City Centre Airport (YXD) which is smaller and three kilometres from the city, but is reserved for commuter airlines and private planes.
