Calgary International Airport is well laid out with four concourses servicing numerous airlines from around the world. There is a host of flights connecting to most major American cities as well as non-stop flights to numerous European destinations including London, Paris, Amsterdam and Frankfurt.

Facilities at the airport are excellent are include ATMs, restaurants, bars, banks and baby-changing rooms. There are also newsagents and information desks.
The airport is conveniently located just 30 minutes from the city centre. Taxis are the easiest method of transport, but there is also a city shuttle service and public buses that connect to the local train station. The airport has some nearby hotels which can be perfect for those with early flights.

Public Transport
While Calgary isn’t connected to other Canadian cities by rail, it does have its own inner-city train network. If you aren’t arriving by air, you may wish to consider getting here by Greyhound bus, with services to all other major Canadian cities. Road access to the city is excellent.

The public transport system in Calgary is fast and efficient with an extensive network of buses and trains travelling throughout the city. Day passes are available for a fixed rate and allow for travel on the bus and train network. Bicycle hire is a popular option for getting around Calgary’s cycle-friendly streets.

Hiring a car to explore Calgary and its surroundings is a fantastic option, with a host of interesting attractions only a short drive from the city. There is also an abundance of metered taxis throughout the city that are a good alternative if going out late to bars and clubs.
