The driver, having met us at the airport, took us to the van and started it without getting in it. The van reared back and luckily hit the island, otherwise it would have hit the car parked on the other side. The hotel was worth the price that we paid for. However, the transfer to and from the airport provided by the hotel was terrible and very unsafe. The driver, having met us at the airport, took us to the van and started it without getting in it. The van reared back and luckily hit the island, otherwise it would have hit the car parked on the other side. When the driver finally took us to the hotel, he drove the van on 3rd gear the entire trip. We never went past 30kph and it obviously took us forever to get to the hotel which was not too far away. By the time we reached the hotel we all had a terrible head ache. They gave us a more experienced driver for our tours as we had requested, but the tour guide they recommended to us was terribly lazy and terribly informed on tourist destinations such as the land mine museum and the killing fields. We ended up listening to another tour guide's narration with him beside us listening to the other tour guide too! Le Meridien should take responsibility in screening these people as well. Just because they are "outside hire" does not mean that it does not reflect on the hotel.
