Currently undergoing renovation for building expansion and noise is discernable in the morning. Understand that swimming pool facility will be available only at end-2007. These are negative points but which will be sorted out eventually, I believe. The reception desk needs to have flight details on AirAsia airline since it is becoming a popular budget airline for most SEAsian countries. James Gillespie, United Kingdom
Quiet location but just 10mins walk to downtown Pub st etc. Rooms were clean, although in a need of a little reno (this was superior room). Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was simple and fine. Would probably stay there again and would recommend it to families on a budget. Fong Ho, Singapore
Overall, the staff of the hotel were quite friendly and helpful. However, my friend and I were a little annoyed when several of the staff kept pestering us to join the tour packages that they have recommended. One of the reception staff behaved quite rudely after we repeatedly refused his offer. We think that the hotel manager should stop this from happening in future.
On the other hand, there was one other staff who went out of his way to help us, by lending us the use of his mobile phone to call our tuk-tuk driver and declined to be paid when we offered his some money. A HotelTravel.com Member, Australia
The rooms were very comfortable and spacious, large bathroom and storage space. Breakfast provided good variety and was available from 6am. The hotel was in easy walking distance of markets and restaurants. All staff were helpful and opened the door for each entry and exit. As with other hotels, laundry and Internet prices were considerably higher than just around the corner. It was a first time visit to Siem Reap; would recommend this hotel. A quiet area at night. Great Hotel and freindly service. Within walking distance of the main shopping area/"Pub Street". Highly recommended. (At the time of our visit (Jan 2007) there was some construction going on, however this was only during the day when we were out and about). A HotelTravel.com Member, Korea
hotel was under construction, so noisy. Wayne Jennings, South Africa
The room was nice and big, enjoyed the bath as opposed to a shower only. The staff were nice and friendly and very helpful in booking tours. Strongly advice that all trips are booked thru the hotel. The food in the restaurant was excellent and very afforable. Throughly enjoyed my stay. Zheng Wang, China
The hotel is clean, quite and bright. near the old market, staff is helpful. breakfast is nice and charge my son only $1.5/day. value for money and good choice for family/tourist. Kerrie HARRISON, Australia
Our stay at the City River Hotel was very enjoyable. Staff friendly & helpful. Room very clean & comfortable. Only comment ... we found the beds very hard. Hotel within easy reach of the Wats. Quiet hotel too.
Excellent value for money. Great holiday. Would stay at this hotel again. |
