Good little hotel in Siem Reap and a few minutes walk from all the action of pub street and the markets. Great little pool area which we had to ourselves a lot of the time. Impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel it was our little oasis in Siem Reap. Breakfast basic but ok. A HotelTravel.com Member, United States
This actually happened. I put considerable money, travelers checks, etc. into the in-room electronic safe. At least $500 in USD was stolen. I did not say anything at the time because I wanted to be absolutely sure of the amount that was stolen. When I returned home last night, the theft amount was confirmed. I caution anyone about staying there. I have used in-room safes countless times over the years without any problems. I assumed that a "safe deposit box" meant exactly what those words imply. But there is obviously an override key available, and no evidence of when it has been used. The safe performs normally after the theft. So beware of using these safes in ANY hotel. The hotel staff were excellent, extremely friendly and welcoming. A good knowledge of the area and arranged my daily transport around the Temples on request the night before (If you get chance, ask for Mr Lorn the Tuk Tuk drive, a knowledgeable and safe driver from my experience)
The hotel was clean and well kept, a new'ish addition is the small pool out the back with has been nicely set in the smallish area.
The breakfast was adequate, egg and bread with some fruit. I didn't get chance to eat at the restaurant in the evenings as I didn't visit Siem Reap in the peak tourist season, so can't comment on the evening meal choice.
The hotel is locate just outside the centre of Siem Reap however it is only a 5-10 minute walk to the market area and numerous bars etc. A thoroughly recommended hotel, if I ever go back to the area I will most definitely stay there again. Amber Davis, United States
The Auberge Mont Royal reminded me of a small hacienda. It was quite comfortable and rather intimate without being too close or cozy. I loved its style and the breakfasts were great. Pura Ester, Philippines
My children and I thorougly enjoyed our tour of the AngkorWat complex because this hotel was "home away from home". I was so happy that I found this very charming hotel. When I go back to Siem Reap in the future, I will definitely stay at this hotel again. I highly recommend it. A HotelTravel.com Member, Norway
