First, we reserved a "cottage" and it turned out we were staying at the resort, not the hotel (same company, different parts of town), so it was way better than expected. I'm glad we arranged to have them pick us up at the airport or we would have ended up at the wrong place, though they're close! The room was excellent, and the beds were comfortable. We had an extra bed added for a 3rd person, so it was less space, but still good. The bathroom was large and the shower was great - though, my husband didn't fit under the shower head, he's 6'4". We had an extra bed added for a 3rd person, so it was less space, but still good. The bathroom was large and the shower was great - though, my husband didn't fit under the shower head, he's 6'4". We were right by the pool, which is like a tiled river - long, so you have your own swimming area, everyone is near the pool, and it's quite private. The water was the perfect temperature, and felt like silk. There is a kids pool as well, at one end. The spa is amazing, with great prices - I got a lovely hot stone massage, 90min for $55. The front desk can arrange any tour and has drivers on call for reasonable prices, the morning breakfast buffet is varied and tasty, and the other restaurants smelled wonderful though we didn't get a chance to eat at them. Make sure you go to the Apsara Theater. It's owned by the resort, the food is great, and the show is lovely and interesting. I had a wonderful time, and Cambodia is a wonderful country - I was surprised to find that I liked it better than Thailand or Vietnam.

The hotel grounds are very nice and the location is perfect for walking downtown. The rooms are a little dated and the beds are on the hard side.
