Raffles Hotel Le Royal (Formerly Le Royal Hotel Phnom Penh) is not just a place to spend a night, but a unique and luxurious hotel with rare attributes of history and style. Opened in 1929 in buildings that are an inspired blend of Khmer, Art Deco and French Colonial architecture, the restoration has fulfilled all the requirements of a modern world-class hotel in facilities and amenities. It is the perfect choice for both the holiday maker and business traveller.

I like the outdoor swimming poor and the design of yard, elegant lobby, high quality services at the poolside, and the delicious food served there.
But I was disturbed and awakened in the midnight by neighbors'' toilet flushing (very loud, the pipes inside the wall makes very loud sounds, like the one on the airplane) and chatting outside my door. The soundproof function need to be improved.

We had a State Room, which turned out to be at the end of the corridor and rather sma,,. though the bathroom was spacious and beautiful! The food at Le Royale was superb - the steak melted on the knife and the lobster salad was exquisite. For the quality, it was well-priced. The breakfast was also excellent, with a great selection of high quality food. However, it was very crowded as there was a tour group staying in the hotel. Suggest that if possible, it is better to wait till later to have breakfast, instead of rushing with the business crowd or tour groups. Will probably stay again because of the sheer luxury of the place, but I will request a bigger room.
