The first booking told us there is no more superior room (@US$52), but still have deluxe room(@US$64) available. so we accepted this offer. When we checked in ,we found that the hotel was fully booked and the two deluxe room which we stayed in was quite different. the room number 1212 which they confirmed "deluxe" only looks like superior or standard, because the furniture and TV. looks very old. Another deluxe room which they offered have a bigger size room, flat TV, beautiful bathroom , also with individual shower unit.
Rooms on ground floor(the pool level) feeling uncomfortable and damp.
Overall, this hotel really needs renovation. A HotelTravel.com Member, Switzerland
Staff: friendliness, quality of service. Room: size, equipment, furniture, bed quality, tranquility. Breakfast: needs improvement in selection, choice and quality of food offered.

We used two rooms. Traveling with children we need connected rooms. One of them was an smoker room. Terrible for my lungs. The rest of the hotel was great. One of the best breakfast buffet in all the holidays. One room smell like an ashtray. The staff were competent and they smile after the horrible hotel we were in thailand This hotel is a palace. We Will use it again. Great breakfast. a lot of sweet cakes and they cater for european taste.

A comfortable hotel; well worth seeking out the almost hidden, but very central, location. Tuk Tuks always available outside; $3 to the riverside downtown area,($1-$2 on a motorcycle taxi).Nice room, bathroom little old. Standard rooms have absolutely no view.Breakfast buffet very average, but buffet dinner excellent choice of Western and Asian food. Very small bar (in the lobby). Lobby average. Very nice pool. Small gym. Sauna not included ($4). With the exception of the trainee the front desk staff did not smile during the entire stay. Very helpful friendly bell boys; helping with bags, finding taxis, and giving advice about transit time to airport.
Nice swimming pool., but sauna not included ($4). No lift, but only three floors, so not a problem. The standard rooms have absolutely no view, was offered a room facing the pool area for $15 more, but did not bother.
Overall good. I would stay here again.

it's a great hotel to stay, when you are in the pool, you would almost forget that you are in Cambodia, it's like a villa somewhere in Bali. We loved it! The location is a little ways away from the riverside, where most of the restaurants and pubs are, but tuk tuk is everywhere. We didn't find it a problem at all! The hotel's clean and the food is actually surprisely tasty! Yvonne Bissonnette, Canada
We were very impressed with the Juliana. Very clean and modern. Located in a bit of a scruffy area but just 5 mins by tuk-tuk to the Central market and 10 mins to the riverfront where most of the bars and restaurants are. The dinner buffet was exceptional at only US$14 - you name it, they served it!!! The breakfast buffet was also very good and room service was fast and efficient. On site spa massage was good value for money and front desk was helpful re: how much to pay for what and maps of the area. Pool and jacuzzi area were clean and had lots of natural shade from trees. On the whole - the hotel was the highlight of our short visit to Phnom Penh and we whole heartedly recommend it!!! A HotelTravel.com Member, France
Hotel location in a rougher area away from main shopping and good restaurants, though Tuk Tuk transportation is cheap and readily available.
Deluxe grade room is preferrable. Hotel has no elevators. A HotelTravel.com Member, United Kingdom
My stay at the Juliana was pleasant - the buffet offered a good range of food and the staff were pleasant, the hotel pool was very nice however the business centre was poorly equipped, the internet unusable as it was so slow and extremely expensive. david kershaw, United Kingdom
The hotel was very nice and relaxing, the pool was excellent but at night time you got the odd bat flying around the pool. I found the hotel a little far away from the bars but i found a excellent taxi man, very punctual and cheap and spoke english.
overall my stay at the Juliana Hotel was very good. A HotelTravel.com Member, Australia
The location of the hotel is what I liked most. The de luxe room was excellent, however my sister stayed in a superior room and that was definitely not worth the money - very small and darkish. |
