Othon Palace was one of the best hotels on Copacabana beach. The staff was friendly, they knew english, they were helpful in getting us to the sites, and they treated us with respect.
The room was a bit small (we had a triple room), however, Brazil is a developing country and we can't expect American accomodations with regards to size. I strongly recommend this hotel, just make sure you have thought about the differences between USA and Brazil....
