Visitors planning to arrive at Iguazu Falls by air can make use of Cataratas International Airport in Foz do Iguacu. There is another facility operating across the border on the Argentinean side. Cataratas Airport majors in domestic connections to regional capitals throughout Brazil, with a handful of international flights to regional countries like Argentina and Salvador. The three primary airlines are OceanAir, TAM Airlines and Gol Transportes Aereos.
The single terminal serves nearly 700,000 passengers annually and has enough space to accommodate up to a million. Facilities are basic and include ATMs, a restaurant and bar and Internet capabilities (including Wi-Fi). The terminal is connected by bus to the entrance to the falls.

It is also possible to arrive at Iguazu Falls via long-haul bus from Argentina, Paraguay and a number of Brazilian cities. Brazil is an enormous country, and overland travel times are long. Comfortable, spacious coaches connect to the regional capital of Curitiba (10 hours), Rio de Janeiro (22 hours) and Sao Paulo (16 hours). The international bus terminal is three kilometres outside of Foz do Iguacu.
Public transportation within the area consists of several privatised bus companies, with all branches covered by a single ticketing system. Routes connect the national park, the city of Foz do Iguacu and the international airport. Taxis are also widely available. The national park is serviced by a fleet of open-air, double-decker buses that aim to cut down on traffic within the park. A hire car simplifies transportation between Foz do Iguacu and the park.
