The hotel was perfectly adequate. I was merely looking to book a clean, comfortable room at a reputable establishment, which I found. I enjoyed the spacious lobby, I took advantage of the in-room wireless Internet (although at about 20 euros for a 24 hour period, I found it to be a bit pricey, but I really needed the access.) The bathroom was nicely done, but I was unused to the tub only having half of it with a door and the other half open; being unskilled in manipulating the movable shower, I promptly sprayed most of the bathroom with water. (Although I'm sure with time, I would have developed neater showering skills. I am used to a full curtain or door containing the tub and shower and not having to be concerned with water neatness.) Nonetheless, the bathroom worked out fine. The plumbing and facitilies seem to have been recently installed. I had a nice 6th floor room (601) which overlooked central Brussels. The windows open--a very nice feature; I didn't feel sealed in like I do in many generic modern hotels. At first, the beds seemed hard because there was no spring in the mattress, but this lack of bounciness was deceiving. The beds were quite comfortable and, as they say, I slept like a rock. The room size is not spacious by American standards, but it was bigger than many European hotel rooms I've stayed in. As for location, it is just a short walk to Grand Place and the center of activity in Brussels. Although it is about half a mile or so to the central train station (500m), I'd recommend taking a taxi if you have luggage; half a mile with luggage, even if it's only carry-on, seems like an eternity, especially on cobblestones. The cab is only about 6 euros. Additionally, there is a metro station just down the street about a block or so (but you can't really take the metro to the central train station by a direct route). I did not have time to have breakfast in the hotel so I can't make any comments on this area except that when I peeked into the dining room, I saw that it was clean, modern, and attractive. One more thing: check-in time is 2 p.m. (1400 hours) and they pretty much stick to this, which was a bit disenheartening after a long transatlantic flight. Nonetheless, they did keep our luggage for us. The lobby has big, comfy sofas, so I closed my eyes and took a quick snooze. It seems that the staff kind of expects this. Overall, it was a decent hotel. Booking was easy and quick; when my first choice of hotel was not available, they promptly offered and alternative. I used the Live Agent feature which was very helpful.
