Gulf Gate Hotel is good for its location. Standard single room I stayed in was quite run down, but later moved to Standard Twin which was A LOT better. Good view from balcony, clean, and furnishing items are in good condition.

There is a restoration going on at the moment. It's a bit noisy. Rooms are good size but smells awful. Smells like an old house in a rainy places. Corridors are not clean. Furniture is old and needs to be changed.
Location is good though, but if I'm not desperate, I wouldn't want to go again.

Nice, clean hotel; although very noisy because of the nightclubs in the hotel. I had to sleep with earplugs, even after I asked for a quiet room on the second floor. Luckily enough the last two days were in the Ramadan period, so there were no bands anymore.
