The worst place I have ever stayed in my life - on arrival we asked for a non smoking room and were shown to a room which stank of stale smoke - so much so my three year old complained!! The furniture was broken and dirty and covered in cigarette burns - the kitchen was filthy - the dishwasher ripped out with exposed electrical cables hanging out of the wall - the whole place dirty, old and delapitdated. We tried to find another hotel in Bahrain but everywhere was full - we asked to be moved to another Non smoking room - reception offered to remove the cigarette burned sofas and replace with others!! They eventually moved us to a room across the corridor - marginally better in as much as the sofa wasn't broken (although it was torn and dirty) and the dishwasher was still in place so no exposed electrical cable for our 6 and 3 year old to play with - dirty carpet - 2 old, worn bath towels (for a family of 4), smelly, dingy - horribly disappointing - don't know when the 4 star status was awarded to this hotel but I very much doubt it would even scrape a 1 star at this point!!! We have stayed in many Elite Apartments in Bahrain (the Pavilion and the Grand) and have always been very happy - assumed they were all of the same level - They cleary are NOT!!!! Never ever stay here!
