January

Mozart Week

Each year, Salzburg celebrates its most famous son with ten days of music. Renown musicians, orchestras and conductors come to the city to celebrate and perform the genius of Mozart.

Piano Festival

This annual affair is a celebration and appreciation of piano performance and teaching. Visiting pianist and teachers come from around the globe come to the city to perform and educate on the art of the piano.

Salzburg Easter Festival

This annual festival of opera and classical music held in Salzburg, Austria during Easter week. It was founded by the conductor Herbert von Karajan in 1967 as a means of expanding the traditional Summer Festival and it presents major productions of operas at the beginning and the end, along with works from the great orchestral repertoire at the Großes Festspielhaus.

Narcissi Fest in the Ausseer Land

Austria’s largest Flower Festival showcases a colourful sea of narcissi! Highlights include the car and boat parade and the crowning of the Narcissi Queen.

Salzburger Festspiele

This renowned festival is arguably the best musical festival in the world. The annual Salzburg Festival showcases classically trained artist performing classical music combined with contemporary music for modern-day audiences.

Salzburg Culture Days

This is a celebration of the patron saint, Rupert. Held in the city square, locals and visitors can enjoy orchestra music, magic performances, craft and games and great family fun.

Salzburg Jazz Autumn

The Jazz Autumn Festival in a swinging event that showcases performances by established musicians as well as the up-and-coming jazz artist in top venues throughout the city.

Salzburg Christmas Market

This traditional Christmas market is held in the Cathedral and Residence Squares. The market is filled it musicians, performers and artist selling their wares. You can also purchase some amazing Christmas gifts.
