Innsbruck home to the Winter Olympics more than once and famed for its
spectacular scenery is perhaps one of the more beautiful cities in the country.
A skiers paradise, it’s frequented by visitors in the winter as well as in the
summer. Although many of the activities on offer are
skiing related (with year round slopes to enjoy), there is a lot more to
Innsbruck than snow and ice.
Other attractions are its night-life, shopping, museums, castles,
a glacier, excellent shopping and dining options and
first class hotels and resorts from which to base your discoveries. Explore it
more via these pages before you visit. Located 30 minutes from the Italian
border and 45 minutes from the German border it’s not only a good base for local
discoveries but close to other countries too, making it a sensible travel
destination for many.
