We had an excellent time at the Sydney Shangri-la. Wonderful view, clean, comfortable. However in terms of food quality (buffet & room service) it does not compare well with the Shangri-la Mactan Island Resort (Cebu, Philippines), Shangri-la Kota Kinabalu (Malaysia), or the Kowloon and Island Shangri-la Hotels in Hong Kong. ...

I am executive level member of Golden Circle. We were given wrong rooms at check in; Opera House view room was booked. We were shunted into a corner room with limited view of Opera House. My executive level status was not recognised and did not received benefits of being a "privileged guest". Comfortable room. Very comfortable bed. Big bathroom. Poor water pressure in shower, however.
