Sydney Introduction
Sydney is arguably one of the most beautiful cities in Australia and it is also the capital city of New South Wales. Sydney boasts having some of the most stunning beaches in Australia. The beach areas have a concentration of fabulous accommodation including a plethora of 5-star hotels and resorts as well as a wide selection of family friendly lodgings. Although Sydney is celebrated for its lovely shores, there is so much more to Sydney than beaches. The city has one of the most prestigious opera venues in all of Australia, the Sydney Opera House. This iconic theatre is an architectural masterpiece and sees the biggest names in the world of opera take to its stage. The building has five superior theatres; the Concert Hall, the Opera Theatre, the Drama Theatre, the Playhouse and the Studio Theatre on offer.

Widely regarded as the most significant city in the southern hemisphere, laid-back Sydney offers visitors more star attractions than you can fit into the average holiday. Fortunately, the majority of this city’s highlights are concentrated in a walkable area surrounding its magnificent harbour. Despite its reputation for being relaxed, visitors to Sydney may find themselves exhausted at the end of each day from trying to see and do all the rewarding activities on offer.

As Australia’s largest city, you would naturally expect Sydney to have an impressive array of tourist attractions. Indeed it does. But what makes the ‘Emerald City’ so pleasant is that most of its star highlights are loved and used by the residents as much as the many visitors. From architectural icons such as the Opera House and Harbour Bridge to living hubs of activity like The Rocks and Darling Harbour, travellers will have to face the daunting task of choosing what to do first. Fortunately, most of the real gems are clustered around the harbour area, making it easy to see a lot.
