Have stayed at the Travelodge Wynyard Sydney several times now usually en route to our sons home in Queensland and it really hits the button for comfort, cleanliness, friendliness of staff, price and most of all-location. This is an ideal place to stay whilst visiting Australias most magical city of Sydney, we will definitely be returning and have recommended it to friends who have had similar experiences. Perfect location, satisfactory accomodations. The staff were uniformly friendly and helpful. The restaurant is above standard.Elevators below standard: only 3, at least 1 of which was always out of service and another used only by staff. On checkin, one of the two rooms reserved had been booked a night short by the consolidator. The front desk politely corrected the error without a problem.

The location for this hotel is excellent - just 1.5 blocks from the Wynyard train station. A great value for the money. Staff are friendly and professional and the rooms are clean, comfortable and well-appointed. This is the second time I've stayed at this hotel and I would stay a third time in a heart-beat.

You could pay twice as much and not get these ideal facilities. All the information and food/drink you might need whilst visiting the city. All staff responded to our needs efficiently and were very friendly. We were able to book transport to the airport at the desk at short notice. We would have used this if we had stayed longer and hadn't found so many other things to do. The restaurant was popular and the menu looked very good. Our room was spotless. Even the very busy foyer was kept clean though cleaners were inobtrusive. We considered hotels costing double the price but the Travelodge Wynyard has everything which we need so why pay more. Have stayed in Sydney about 6 times now and will be visiting every year to see relatives.

The staff at the Travelodge Wynyard were excellent - very helpful and informative. The room was recently rennovated and exceeded my expectations - very european. I found the location to be perfect - just a short walk to the Circular Quay and just steps from the train/subway.

We were not happy about the refurbishment of the hotel, we were not told about this prior to staying there.toileteries were not refilled every day. Dirty linen, the quilt cover had not been changed fromthe previous people as there was stains on it. for the price we paid it was over rated.

Good location. Not far away to the most important visitor places. Only the poor view out of our room windows was a disappointment (room was located in front of a huge house with a distance of 10 meters. It was not possible to see the sky or any people on the street).

We had a good stay at this hotel. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff were very helpful.
The best part of this hotel is the position. Very convenient for the station and within walking distance of the major attractions. Hotel is under refurbishment but didn't affect us in any way (only noticed drilling noise once when we were on the way to the lifts).
We knew there were no good views from the hotel from other reviews but were a bit disappointed with looking out onto the A/C unit on the adjacent building. Other than that everything was fine.
Good little breakfast bar just around the corner- nice toasted sandwiches!
