We have stayed here 3 times so far and will continue to do so . As we are from coffs harbour I have well reserched the web especially around the darling harbour area and cannot find another hotel of this quality and price anywhere ! You feel special and important .The hotel itself is impeccably clean and the staff run it to perfection . The food is fine dining in itself at an affordable rate and the room service is superb . On our stay this week our small child had had an operation at Westmead Childrens Hospital and when we arrived at citigate and entered our room we realised i had accidently...

Location of this hotel is the only thing which was good, room was ok with that old 70's look, staff was horrible ,unfriendly, rude at times, not at all professional, if you can ignore that its a good place to stay.

Excellent room, very clean and tidy. Hotel right next to shopping mall and market place, walking distance from city centre. Highly recommended!

This hotel is just a stone throw away from China Town where you can get reasonably priced food. Further walk towards Darling Harbour provides a totally different experience. I do recommend this hotel.

I can honestly HIGHLY RECOMMEND this hotel to anyone from your young couples , families or buisness people .

Misplaced luggage after we checked in and had inappropriate charges on bill, but did their best to correct. Good location within short walk of Darling Harbour.

The Internet charge was Way too expensive at the hotel.I mean 30Au$ is way overpriced. The hotel all in all was a very nice place to live, and we will use it again next year.

We don't understand why housekeeping jhas to be done at certain hours despite our "Please do not disturb" sign being displayed. If a guest put that up, shouldn't they wait / come back later to do up the room? Instead we got a call asking if we want the room made up like we have to have it done then or not at all? We never had that prob with any other hotel. Also, the front desk could use some smiles.

We enjoyed our stay in Carlton Sydney very much. We liked the following the most: the cleanliness of the hotel; the helpfulness and efficiency of the staff, the location of the hotel in regards to public transportation, and, above all, the friendliness and the extra effort taken by the doormen (?), the men who helped us with our luggage when we left. I must also say that the breakfast was excellent, along with the service! We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who plans to visit Sydney.

The hotel was situated in China town, a vibrant and friendly area and just ten minutes stroll form Darling Harbour. The linens were changed daily and the staff were friendly and helpful. Two queen sized beds in the room, a good T.V with a Sydney sights programme always available and videos available at $14.99 a time. The menu in the restaurant was excelent but we were on a tight budget so we found a great meal could be had in the food hall in China town for $8 a time. The eighth floor roof garden, pool and spa were wonderful, the pool was heated from the Spa. Unfortunately this broke down on Friday afternoon and was still not fixed by Sunday morning when we left so an unheated pool was not so good given that the spring weather had turned windy and cool. All in all a good clean comfortable hotel that we would consider staying in again when we visit Sydney at a later time.

Arriving in Sydney after 22 hours of flying we were greated by friendly staff that appriciated our exhausted state. It was early morning, too early to get a room but the staff showed us where we could freshen up with a much needed shower. Everyone in the hotel was always helpful and friendly! We would definately return!

The hotel location is close to the public transport, shop and entertainment but the interior decoration and finishing dull and not up to date. From my personal view the hotel cannot be rated more than 3 star due to the facilities. But overall, for leisure and holiday it seem look like ok.

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel very much. The reception staff were outstanding, they were friendly, efficient and extremely helpful at all times. The room was of ample size, was nicely furnished and decorated, and was very clean. The concierge staff were very amiable and helpful, you really got the impression that they were there for you. Sadly, there was only one let down, but it was a big on, and that was the restaurant. The staff were totally opposite to all the other hotel staff. They were surly and made you feel as if you were an inconvenience to them. The food on offer on the buffet was dreadful - tastles, poorly presented, tepid and we were actually unable to finish our dishes. Needless to say we only used the restaurant once, but luckily the hotel was near the mono rail link to Darling Harbour where we ate the rest of the time. Overall, we had a great stay at the Carlton Crest in Sydney and would have no hesitation in using it again, though I do not think I would use the
