The Hotel itself was fine, but the Reception and Bar staff leave a lot to be desired. They need a lot more Customer Relations training.

The hotel room was rather neat but the bed was a tad too soft. There is very limited tv channels to surf and although the hotel website boasts of parking facility, they fail to mention that the hotel only has valet parking that costs 25 aussie dollars for the service. Luckily, there is an all day public carpark opposite the hotel that costs only 6 aussie dollars but we were only told of this when we enter the hotel and ask the counter the staff. The valet did not mention this to us - in fact, he told us that it was difficult to park at public carparks when there were evidently still many empty lots that day - good thing we took the wrong turn to the hotel and saw the vacant lots at the public carpark first!!!
However, the location of the hotel is rather good , near to a number of cafes so it is easy to get some food. It is a stone's throw away from the Freemantle market but this only opens on weekends as the staff are rather friendly. Overall, we had a satisfactory stay for one night at this hotel.
By the way, I would like to compliment Hotel Travel.com for offering the best price for a night stay in this hotel compared to other agencies. Thank you for making our search for a good hotel price an easy one. There is no heated indoor swimming pool in winter. The valet has misinformed us of the parking facilities.
TV channels are rather limited compared to other hotels in other parts of Australia, given the higher room rates.

We used the hotel for a family holiday over Christmas. We did not eat in the restaurant because of the high price. The Christmas evening meal was 125+ dollars per head, which for a family of two adults and two teenage children made an overly expensive meal. The rest of the town was closed on Christmas evening and so we had little other choice.

There were a number of things on which I think this hotel could improve 1. There was no "public" parking arrangd at the hotel and the cost of concerge parking - AUD 22.50 per day 2. There has been a car park built overlooking the swimming pool area. This made it both very noisy and takes away any privacy when relaxing round the pool or when sitting on the bedroom balcony for which you pay extra 3. The gate to spa area was constantly being left to close on its own with a very loud crash(mostly by unaccompanied children) which again was very annoying when relaxing around the pool or on the balcony. 4. The pool bar was not open but drinks could be ordered via a telephone beside the bar area however there was an additional charge of AUD 5 per order.
