I gave my credit card to be swiped for AUD50/- as deposit. In all hotels where I have done this, I have never been asked to sign the slip. I think the signing part is totally unnecessary. During the time of checking out, I didn't see a "reverse" being done nor did I see the signed slip being destroyed or given back to me. I was not comfortable at all with this procedure and it appears the "collateral" is one sided.

Close to trams and Spencer Street railway station. Some good restaurants within easy walking distance. Noisy on Friday night because of pub nearby.

It s a basic but nice and clean room, size is o.k. but there is not exactly too much space. Flat screen TV would have been appreciated more if quality of the picture would have been better. Some channels could not be watched at all. Also, while changing the channel there was always a short but loud noise.
Fitness room on top of the building is nice, but some of the equipment could not be used. The treadmill in front of a top to bottom window with a great view over Melbourne is outstanding.
Good value for money if you don t want to spend too much money on accommodation and I d definitively go back there again.
