We were upgraded, without asking, to a superior room as the hotel wasn't full. The facilities were excellent. The main door closes at 11.30pm and you must gain access through a side gateway, using a passcode. The complaint I would have is that the bar staff closed the bar, anytime after 10.00pm if numbers were low. The time of closing was unknown to guests and this meant that if you came back to the hotel after dining in town for a drink before retiring, it was likely you would be disappointed. ...

We stayed at the Bay Village for 6 days, the hotel was clean and nicely decorated and all the staff were helpful and friendly. We stayed in a standard room which was on the small size but it didn't bother us as we weren't in the room for most of the time. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Cairns.

Convenient location, within walking distance to downtown. Extremely friendly staff. A swimming pool and excellenet Indonesian restaurant on site. Good value for money. Clean with sufficient amenities. Powerful air-conditioning. On the edge of the city centre and is quiet in general. Good tour booking service and abundant information. Bali decor in room is very nice. Very competitive price.

The hotel was quite nice. Free shuttle to airport was good, what we liked least was that towels for the swimming pool were rented per 1$ per day, I never saw this in any hotel before.
