The room with 2 bulk beds and ensuite is definetely too priced: sort of camp style (no TV) with basic furniture. However, the location is great as there is not much choice in the area (the other hotels are way too expensive!). Excellent service and luggage management, quick check-in and check-out, but average food at the BBQ of the resort (there is also a somewhat more expensive restaurant, anyway, but we did not try it). ...

I had a great time there. The hotel is a little too expensive. With that money I would have stayed in a five star hotel. Because of the location, you have no choices. Otherwise it was OK.

few hotels, all over priced. best advice though on seeing the sites: rent a car. the tours are a total ripoff.

The Outback Pioneer was overpriced for what you got and as all the hotels at Uluru are run by the same company there is no competition.

This hotel (like all the others in AyersRock) is over-priced. The room was clean but the room with the 2 bunk-beds is very incomfortable and cold at night. Bring winter pyjama as there is no heating in the room. Aussie BBQ at night is very fun but a bit expensive for the food you get. Salad bar is very bad.

This hotel met basic needs but was over priced. This hotel was more expensive than a 5 star hotel we stayed in in Sydney. The staff were efficient and helpful though.

I felt that this accommodation was over priced as the room wasn't the cleanest or best value for money for the price paid. I feel that all the hotels at the resort are over priced because tourists don't have much choice but to pay the money to stay in one of them.

Rooms not equipped with TV facility, accommodation as well "backpacker-Style", not evrybody can sleep safely in double-decker beds, I am 72 years old and prefer the lower bed, my younger son fell already down from the upper bed in Alice Springs; maybe there should be a reling.

We stayed in a small, less than basic, room with 2 bunk beds, a shower and a toilet and we have been paying 232 US dollar per night. This is 3-5 times as much as you would pay elsewhere in Australia for such a room.

The grounds were nice; had a fun open air bar/restaurant. No phone or TV in $165/night "budget" room...I had to walk to the front desk in the freezing cold (especially at night) whenever I needed something. It had junky child sized bunk beds...no rail on top bunk; I banged my head getting out of bottom bunk. For that price, they could do better.
